Irene Cordero, our CEO – Founder, wanted to create an inclusive organization where she could welcome and support all people’s life experiences and knowledge.
How Brave Sinergy Was Born
As an immigrant in Canada and a person with a disability, her dream was to create an organization that welcomes everyone with different abilities, strengths, cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
By blending her experience in human resources, and her education in psychology, working with people from culturally different backgrounds, and now through her counselling program and D&I Certificate, she has decided to create BSP to:
Supports progressive organizations to promote diverse and inclusive practices.
Help people with disabilities be professionally fulfilled and discover their strengths and "super powers".
Promote change in our communities by building self-awareness and understanding of the benefits of having more inclusive and diverse workplaces.
Creating a respectful organization that knows the importance of active listening, awareness of our bias, and is always open to learning and growth.

The most meaningful way to succeed is to help others succeed
I have worked in the human resources area for almost 23 years for multinational companies. Most recently, in Canada, I am an intern clinical counsellor. I am passionate about working for and with people from different backgrounds and cultural experiences.
Now, with Brave Sinergy Partner, I aim to work with people to create positive synergies and build more inclusive and diverse organizations. Also, Brave Sinergy is a community that supports and encourages people with different abilities to have a place that sees their values and strengths professionally fulfilled.
As an immigrant born and raised in Costa Rica, and now as a Canadian citizen, I have experienced many challenges and changes in my life. I left my country 14 years ago and have lived in the USA, Mexico City, and now BC, Canada.
I studied psychology in Costa Rica, have a Master’s in Clinical Group Psychology, and right now, I am doing a master’s in Counselling Psychology through the City University of Seattle.
In my free time, I like hiking with my two Bernese Mountain dogs (Suyo and Pipa); I practice meditation, baking, and cooking for the people I love.
